Suspension bracket for cable tray, cable ladder and wide span systems

When mounting cable support systems, there must be sufficient suspension options on the wall or ceiling. If the space for this is limited, it is difficult to mount additional cable trays or cable ladders, which are required due to replanning, structural expansions or additional cable requirements. The new suspension bracket for cable trays and cable ladders, as well as for wide span systems in indoor and outdoor areas, was developed to meet these requirements and, at the same time, offers a rapid solution.

Simply hang it

With suspension brackets, additional cable ladders and cable trays can be suspended from an existing cable support system. Thus, further cable sections can be routed directly beneath already installed systems. This means that, if all load limit values are complied with, a separate support structure is not necessary on the wall or ceiling. The suspension brackets have a hook on one side, which is hung on the top edge of the rails of cable trays or cable ladders. In addition, rails and suspension brackets are screwed together.

With the suspension brackets, cable trays or cable ladders can be mounted both in a lengthwise and a transverse direction beneath previously installed sections. In the transverse direction, the suspension brackets can, for example, be mounted with C profile rails or U profiles, on which the additional sections are located. The suspension brackets are hung on the top section and fixed to the rails of the top cable ladders or cable trays using truss-head bolts and combination nuts.

In the lengthwise direction, the suspension brackets can optionally be mounted with C profile rails or U profiles or they are screwed directly to the rails of the top and bottom cable ladders or cable trays.

Two versions for different systems

The suspension brackets are available in two different versions. Type AHB 14 314 FT suits all standard cable trays and cable ladders which have a rounded rail top edge. The type AHB 22 314 FT has a hook with a larger inner diameter and is specially designed for wide span systems. The hot-dip galvanised surface of both types is particularly suitable for the requirements of an industrial environment.

With all structures with the suspension bracket, the statics of the main sections must always be checked and the approved load limit values must be observed and complied with.

The advantages at a glance

  • Simple and flexible solution
  • Space-saving installation
  • Alternative to classic support bracket installation
  • Can be used in the lengthwise and transverse directions to the cable support system above
  • Suitable for all cable trays and cable ladders with rounded rail top edge
  • Suitable for all wide span systems with squared rail top edge
